"1. They 4 times over charge me for my home insurance policy. When I found out, and I wanted to cancel it. Assistant Torri didn't let me. She laughed and said most customer didn't check thier policy when they renew. She said that she will give me new rate, but week later, she forgot it. 2. When I added new van to my auto policy, she give me the price around $1800 per year. I asked if I can talk to agent Eric, she said that Eric is not available for me, I need waiting for two days. 3. Finally, I want to move to state farm another agent, she was not happy. It took her over a week to move my files to another office. 4. It only took other agent half day to get all work done, and I save around $2000 per year. Be aware when you choose this office."
"We are sad that you are upset and you feel like our office did not serve you well. Please know, that was never our intention and there was a misunderstanding with your situation. We apologize for the miscommunication and delay in re-writing your policy. I am going to reply directly to each of your numbered concerns so you have an adequate response from us and so that others can see what we have to say. 1. When you originally came in, we perceived your request as you wanted to completely cancel your homeowners policy and not get a condo policy. It is our job to help protect our customers. The Association policy you brought us does not extend coverage to your belongings or liability. Torri was 100% in the right in recommending the condo policy. It was not that she did not let you cancel (ultimately, our customers make the decisions), she was simply executing her role of suggesting appropriate protection. You are right to be frustrated with how promptly we addressed your case. We apologize that our office did not get back to you in a timely fashion - that is not the standard we hold ourselves to and should not have happened. We should have handled the situation differently and this is not the normal experience customers have with our office or with Torri. Torri is exceptional at her job and responsive to our customers, so this situation is very out of character. She tried to fix it once she realized the mix-up but understandably, you had already made up your mind that you wanted to switch offices. We explained we could backdate the condo coverage and backdate the home cancellation if we had received the proper documentation - which we have continued to pursue despite your decision to leave our office. 2. I truly was not available at the time of your call as I was meeting with another customer in-office. That customer had scheduled the meeting with me weeks prior. I have specific slots in my calendar to address these concerns. Torri scheduled you appropriately in the next available slot, which was the next day. 3. We are not in control of the timeline it takes to process policies transferring offices. We do not decide how long it takes to complete the transfer, that happens at the corporate level. Accusing Torri of delaying your transfer is not only incorrect, it is not a fair interpretation of her desire to be helpful to you throughout the process despite your frustrations. 4. We could have done what the other agent did for you if we fully understood what you were requesting the first time. As you went to another State Farm office, they did not save you money or charge you less than our office. Any State Farm office in the state of Ohio will have the same price when the same details are quoted. Individual State Farm agencies do not decide the price of our policies. That comes from State Farm corporate and the underwriting department at headquarters. State Farm values your business so thank you for continuing to be a customer. We hope you have a wonderful experience at your new office. Please know we are sorry for the miscommunication and this is not normally what our customers experience. - Eric Mayer"
